I had always been interested in anything that was physically challenging and I loved weightlifting. I was an avid Obstacle Course runner, completed lots of GORUCK events, and had a 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo. I initially started CrossFit because it was "hard" but quickly found out it was more than that, and I also found out that I was not as fit as I thought I was. Ha! CrossFit has made me stronger, more confident, and more humble, taught me a ton of patience, and to learn to love the journey of being healthy and fit for a lifetime.
After falling in love with CrossFit and competing in several local competitions I decide I wanted to become a coach. I was already an ACSM personal trainer with several clients and CrossFit was a way to help me dig deeper into my love of the human body and health, and another way for me to help others become fit!
My favorite thing about being a coach is helping others see what they are capable of both physically and mentally. Our bodies are capable of so much! Teaching the things that they can use day to day in both the gym and at home, the things that stay with them for a lifetime and make them healthier, fit, and 1% better at life every day. Goals... big or small are all worth celebrating at CrossFit Sand Springs!
